Video artists Homosuperiorr and Trevor Bazile perform a ritual on Halloween night, 2018 to bring about a Blue Wave for Florida in the upcoming midterm election. They recruit a cast of young Miami artists to help bring about this wave and cast out the red tide.
Red Mirage (2020)
Homosuperiorr remixes an earlier video work (Thoughtform 004) to predict a Red Mirage during the upcoming 2020 election. While many media outlets predict that the year will bring about yet another wave of conservative politicians and policy, Homosuperiorr imagines a reality where this is just hot air.
Blue Moon (2020)
On Halloween night 2020, when the veil between realms is the thinnest, Homosuperiorr conducts a video ritual through Zoom with a cohort of other artists and performers. ‘Witchess! ‘ a visual art collective and mutual aid group, combine their energy during the COVID-19 pandemic under the light of the rare Super Blue Moon. They harness its power to sweep out the red tide and call in a true Blue Wave.
